Yes EC, tell us how you had to climb up Mt. Fuji, in the snow, up hill both ways to get fansubs that were VHS Copies of VHS copies of VHS copies of VHS Copies that were recorded off of Japanese television and subtitled using classic analog dubbing methods.

It will. It's so incredibly popular among fans here, and it's such a "Toonami ready" kind of show, that there is now ay it isn't going to get licensed, horribly dubbed, butchered, and shown on Cartoon Network. It'll happen, Naruto is going to be the next DBZ over here in America, with fans waiting years to see the whole thing because there are hundreds of episodes.

Well, the reason Naruto probably didn't get licensed yet is because the Japanese owners are aware of its' popularity, and are asking a high price for it - consequently, American companies are a little hesitant to give the asked price for it just yet... but, someday they probably will.
The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

Considdering that Naruto has the same potential for popularity as DBZ, hell it's probabbly the next DBZ, the Japanese are likely fully aware that they could ask for the moon in exchange for the lisence, and probabbly get it too.

"Discovery to Huston... we're about to change the flags... American flag removed... Japanese flag deployed."
"Tokyo ComDAT this is Huston, the moon is yours."

Quit whining about fansubs not living up to your high expectations. Not all fansubbers can be as cool as Triad, but look on the bright side, not all fansubbers are as crappy as AnimeJunkies.

Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go finish translating an epsiode of anime for hundreds of ungratefu fanboys accross the world. BLAH!

I hate the way Triad TOTALLY takes over the anime title, like they did with Gunslinger Girl. The only thing less tastefull would have been to spraypaint 'El Barto' over the title. :/

Wow, a complaint about Triad. That's certainly rare.

Well, they basicicly made the Opening seqeuence to Gunslinger Girl look like it read 'The Triad Gunslinger Girl' all as one title, not 'The Triad Presents' or anything. It was made to look like it was part of the Japanese title. Pretty stupid I find. :/

very!

I atleast appreciate what these fansubbers can do!
And when the anime hits here, I usually buy the DVDs and give the fansubs to my brother or sister.

I have so much anime thanks to fansubbers!

If it weren't for them, where would the anime fandom of today be?
People should get the DVD of Devil Hunter Yohko and listen to the history of ADV and how they got started...
(very good history lesson of where these companies came from)

If you don't like it, don't get it or use it again...
So please.. Don't complain...
