2nd series of Eva...

You know, if a second series of Evangelion were to come out as an alternate universe, as you suggested, it would be cool if it worked out like this:

Shinji and Misato, realizing Unit-01 is what Seele intends to use for Third Impact, decide to self-destruct Unit-01. However, Gendo's still trying to initiate Third Impact using Rei and Lillith. So, they'd have to confront Gendo, destroy Unit-01, and then finally destroy the Geo-Front using the Magi computers (in order to prevent Seele or Gendo from using Lillith to initiate Third Impact).

Basically, an alternate universe could be done in which Third Impact is postponed for a few thousand years. Remember, now that the Angels have all been defeated, mankind has been given another chance to conquer the world again. All the Children are a new version of mankind, the result of Second Impact (that's why they can only sync with the Evangelions, another creation using material affected from Second Impact).

Also, if Misato could get Asuka, Rei, and Shinji out of Tokyo-3 alive, they could easily change identities, or go under some kind of Witness Protection Program in the U.S. (Misato should have more than enough authority with federal, state, and local authorities to get their records destroyed, and start off anew). Litterally, a three or four episode mini-series could be done with the concept of Shinji, Misato, Rei, and Asuka trying to disappear, with the whole "I mustn't run away!" message as a motif.

No oh god no, its wrong, how can we do another series??? It wouldnt work!!1 Eva 00 doesnt exist, Eva 01 floating in space, and Unit 02 is ripped to shreads! Plus Gendos dead, wouldnt work without a totally evil bastard in charge..........................

Plus as someone else said, theres no one left to fight! It be like

Angel approaching, oh no wait, thats my miso soup on the screen..........

Now, a prequel would have possibilities, but not as a mech/action anime (yes, i know eva wasnt about the mechs, thankyou Dwchang)

Anyhows, did anyone ever notice in EOE, when the first Production Eva lands, it crushes a JSDDF soldier?? Never noticed it before today............. fucking hillarious

Ok, all those things ... except for unit 00 not being around any more all happened in EoE ... which is a supplementry ending. If they make a new series then they're most likely going to stick with what happened in the series ending. JSDDF soldier got crushed eh ... i know a tank got crushed ... but i never noticed a soldier in there ... i'll ahve to look out for that next time i watch. Oh, and don't tell me that all those things happened in the seires ending please ... i only saw the end of the series once and i can't remember what happened ... danm you matt i want my eva dvd's back!

there COULD be a CB2? oh really? How bout reading all the stuff i already said cuz i dont feel like reiterating myself. Thusly proving me correct. Unless you wanna watch what people consider the "afterlife" then its impossible. I explained the whole dream thing too, so yeah READ --; If he is dreaming it all that is saying that we are all dreaming this too because he was in what we consider the real world but he wasnt sure if it was real or not. But it doesnt matter which is real or not because in the world he WAS in he is dead. That particular world is what we, as in human beings, consider the real world. Thusly, you could CALL it waking up from a dream when you die, but you are still dead in this world. So in closing he's dead no matter HOW you look at it in the current world. And that is all for now, along with my other post on this subject which says the same pretty much --;

Not another damn rant about some thing I posted. First of all there have been a lot of shows and or movies were they brought back the main character one for instance Magnum PI very popular show but the final episode they killed the main character off. They come back say Hu fooled you and the show was back on the next year with the main character getting over his savior injury. Now about the dream thing he says he is in a dream he can not wake from now what he is referring to is debatable I have head and read about nine different perspectives so its all in how you viewed the sires. So bugger off damn it.

Anyway about Eva 2 witch is what this post is ORIGANLY ABOUT. I remember reading a fanfic like the one you described Toecutter and I enjoyed it a lot. I would also like to add the fact that with all the alternate universe fanfics I have read (a lot of them were good) I don’t see how they could not redo the sires over again.

Just thought of this thought it would be cool for like a spin off of Eva. Instead of having the series about NERV what about a JSDF solider that gets to close to something he shouldn’t know about. I don’t know just popped up in my head instead of it focusing on the last Characters how about new ones.

The JSSDF would have too much trouble knowing anything unless something like the movie happens. The UN wouldnt let them...and neither would NERV in general. --;
