ffvii ac was created for the fanboys and girls. they screamed out for more and so they got it this along with all the other branch outs were made to appease some type of fan base. its a very clever marketing technique, actually, knowing whatever they put ffvii on it it would sell to the fanboys and girls. otherwise they wouldnt have created this, a buncha cell phone games (in japan, they're cell phones are way ahead of us) that other ffvii movie in anime form, a ps2 game, a psp game and a crapload of figurines and collectables, and what not i didnt list. although rumored (correct me if they confirmed if they are or are not) they are also recreatin ffvii for the ps3 with ps3 graphics and gameplay thats kinda like the new ffxiii. this movie however, as my opinion, was created based on what the trend in action is today with the fightin sequences via matrix style and the cell phones. if the trend today was somethin else, i think it wouldve been changed alil to fit that trend. as for the story, it seems it was rushed, they just kinda put things together so they can confuse the fans in the trailers (ooh, whos that man in covered in white, why hes that bowin down to him, did aerith (or aeris, which ever) come back alive?) so that they know they will buy. sure the fans ate it up, some happy and content, others wanted less cloud and more of the other guys, but eh. i think i got my twenty bucks worth. they made aerith (aeris) hotter, tifa more "natural" and yuffie is still annoyin

For the bazillionth time, they are NOT creating a PS3 version of FF7. There was a PS3 Tech Demo that Square-Enix created using the Intro to FF7. Even if you look closely at the demo, you will notice that Cloud does not wear the SOLDIER uniform, but the FF7 Advent Children outfit. It's not the first time Square-Enix has created a Tech Demo movie. If everyone remembers correctly, there was a FF8 Tech Demo for the PS2 before the PS2 was released. And there has NOT been a release of FF8 on PS2, has there? No!8bit_samurai wrote:although rumored (correct me if they confirmed if they are or are not) they are also recreatin ffvii for the ps3 with ps3 graphics and gameplay thats kinda like the new ffxiii.
Fankids starting stupid rumors, even when Square-Enix even SAYS they are NOT creating FF7 for PS3 straight out. Nomura even said that he would definitely like to recreate the game, but the schedules of their other releases are always so backlogged that they wouldn't be able to do it for a long time. FF7 remake is no where near a priority at all.
So HOPEFULLY I have SHOT DOWN that freakin' rumor for some of you people. Geez.

for the record, Cloud's personality is to hide as much emotion as possable. that's why it's such a big step for him when he actually smiles at the end of the movie.Krisqo wrote: The dub was some of the best, but Cloud seemed a little too nonchalant and emotionaless.
square considered making the fight sequences loosly follow the laws of physics at the beginning but in the end they decided to go with over-the-top physics-defying sequences for the sake of the art instead of physical accuracy. personally, i approve of their decision.[/quote]
