childish anime

do 8-yr old japanese kids not watch anime series'?? not OVA's, OVA's are like made for video movies and movies are like movies but series' are very childish sometimes, like Hamtaro or Tenchi GXP (I got ep3 fansubbed and the top says 'due to the length of baseball game... blah blah Tenchi has been delayed 20 minutes... first of all HAHAHA guess baseball is the same glorious 2-4 hour game everywhere ;-p... secondly this shows this is a prime time show cuz I really doubt a game would be played in the morning... and if the schedule is backed up they make it up by cutting those midnight infomercials or reruns of Iron Chef... anyway prime time show... and it's so kiddy! WTF?! guess Japanese do have some morals in common with Americans).

anyway it's not like Gamecube (Nintendo) fans don't fight against the same thing... but it's a fact!! If you don't know where to look your bound to run into series after series of childish cartoons.

those are all movies! coincidence?? echi things like mahoromatic, nurse nanako are all oavs. not coincidences. These ppl just watch series' that have (at most) one episode or so of gore (see av).

Yes, we GameCube fans fight hard for our favourite system. But that typical view of Nintendo is starting to be left behind. I judt don't understand how people can shun away a system like that, just because it had some games where the idea seemed younger. But those younger games were the best! Super Smash Bros.!!!

we used to have a gamecube so i understand what you mean but honestly until metriod prime came out the only game on gamecube relly worth having was supersmash bros melee indeed it's probably the best game ever made and now gamecube has lots of pretty good games but i think that people were extreamley turned off by it cause of luigi's mansion, personally i avoid all games where you have enemies that are pretty tough and you have no way of fighting them face to face. but thats just me, i don't hate any of the new systems i use to argue over which was better but now i see the good in them all and see the problems with them all. but yeah the gamecube does get alot of childish games put on it and smoe of it deserved but now it's getting alot of better games. just a thought to sum up, it probably wouldn't be as big of a problem if the comercials for monkey ball 2 weren't what they were, the kids voices do alot of it.

but to stay on topic, well i can't think of anything right now but yeah, childish anime......

Yes i very much agree wid you. I think its really stupid how som "older" gamers see Gamecube as a childish system with childish games. To bad all those so called childrens games get some of the best reviews and biggest sales. Well its there loss....

I have never played anything except for GTA and SSTricky, and I don't really like them. But, since Jedi likes Gamecube, so do I! I think... And I never saw a Super Monkey Ball 2 commercial, so I'll look out for that.

If anyone ever told me that anime was childish, I'd recommend that they watch Kite ... unedited... even the edited one would blow their minds... All the blood, guts, vomit, rape, child-molestation, urination, kids-with-guns, and goodness knows what else......

Although, if I were serious, I'd say watch Robot Carnival - truly a work of art.

It IS childish! You can't put a majority of games on there without dumming it down. RE is a good start but it's just walking munsters. Ooh wow it's like monsters inc only the idea is to scare! Scaring, while not something a 5-year old might like, is something an 8+ yr old might like, it is not adult.
GTA will never be on GC it's not even an option right now. DOAXBV or just DOA period???
They couldn't even give Mario a freekin Squirt gun!! RE may make strides towards it being aimed more towards the adolesant but Celda does just as much of the opposit. Metroid Prime is so unrealistic it's like -huff puff- get the bad guy!! ignore the rest!!. It doesn't teach mature lessons like Halo therefor it is kiddy. Nudity/ Blood/ Gore on it's own does not make it Adult just like all the kids that ask 'Why do they call it AS if they don't have <said>??'.
