Very true, i mean if the worst comes to the worst we could always try and start a world-wide boycott of anime adaptions
But that's not what I was getting at at all :¬ \
I'm bored and you're dumb. A match made in heaven.

i dunno what you guys thought about the movie, but if they made kenshin(the anime series) along the lines of the same style of "the last samurai"(but without tom cruise), i think itd be good.... just my opinion...... but yea, eva, dbz, and cowboy bebop has little to no chance of being good.. the worlds are just too unrealistic and different.. i mean, what are they gonna do? take an american actor, spike his hair and dye it yellow, dress him up in an orange ki and say "heres ss goku".. thats like bad cosplaying gone wrong.............

i know thats not what you meant, what i said was just my opinion on what we could do about it...

...looking back i phrased that rather badly...

i dunno, i think what with the character's speed you couldn't really do it, and the fact that kenshin spends a rather large amount of his time in the air also doesn't help.

Moreover i think there's already quite enough kenshin for everyone, i mean there's what? a...95 (is that right?) episode series, 2 or 3 sets of OVAs and the movie aswell, i think they've covered all the bases already and they STILL haven't animated the whole manga.

i for one am a DBZ fan and i cant see how they are gonna do that if any of you have seen that the charters in DBZ are almost impossabl to make come to life. I think if they are going to make a movie at all that comes from a anime they should do it in CGI that would be the best way to bring to life or favorite animes but to try and make people look like characters from DBZ it will look really really stupid.

Being some what of a aspiring filmmaker I have thought this film over and over again. And evertime it I always come up with that it is impossible to make a half-decent adaptation of any of these animes. The only one that has a shot of being remotely comercially sucessful is Akira.

One of the first things I've learned in film is Remakes are like reheating left overs. They satisfy the hunger but will never taste as good as the original.

The Akira film, of course they well never have it take place in Tokyo. It most likely take place in L.A. Why? Gangs, Colosseum, and some parts of LA look like scenes for the movie. It freaked me out when I was in downtown LA and a street looked exactly like the scene where Testuo brings down that helicopter and rips the curtain off of the store window to make a cape. On a side note, I heard that Jackie Chan was in mind for the role as Goku. I could understand why, there personallities are very similar in film. But jackie does not look like goku what so ever. I also heard Jet Li was in mind for Vegeta. I could see that, he did play a really cool bad guy in lethal weapon 4.

X2

I probably would of said something like, Remakes are regurgitating (SP?) and reswalowing a meal. It's never as good the second time down the hatch.
