Well, i forgot to add that although i own the series i mentioned and over 30 anime movies (and the collection is getting biger) i don't even own a good pc , at least ass good to watch them. That sucks major time. I can say i'm between stupidity and halfway to hardcoredom

Can't really say I'm hardcore. I own a few titles of anime (plus a few movies). I'm more of a manga freak than anything (I like to read, during family reunions my cousins get pissy at me for reading instead of sociolizing<<<useless tidbit of info that should probably be ignored).

Anime is a nice hobby but trying to convert you anime hating friends is an even better hobby.

I second that ^__^d

I guess I could be considered as a "hardcore" anime fan - you should see my bedroom^^; I've spent a ton of money on merchindise, I draw it, listen to the music, and yes, I "convert" friends over to the "dark" side as well. It's kind of funny - my little sister has now got into the whole anime thing. She's making amvs as we speak! (I'm so proud ^__^)

I would brobably consider my self semi-hardcore. All I really do these days is buy anime and manga (need to clear some room in my closet)and watch what's on T.V. I only make an A.M.V. when I have the time. I used to buy posters and what not, but I would only used duct tape and all of the posters would fall off, that and I found no real reason to buy them anyway. Only cosplayed once, I intend to do it again, but not right away. Hmm, as far as guys cosplaying in drag, I think its hilarious. Now fat bearded smelly guys cosplaying in drag, can't stand the thought.

Otaku: n. A fan, typically to the point of obsession, colloquially associated with anime.
"otaku are regressive, have poor social ability, and have never fully matured as adults. Therefore, they are not good at communicating with others, cannot date real human beings, and instead adore an imaginary character" - japantoday.com article

...Aieeeee! After seeing this thread, I was going to post that picture without looking at the posts, but then I decided to read the posts, and now, boy am I happy I decided to, because I was about to post the same pic that Inverse just posted.

I plan to have a custom car that is shaped like the head of Evangelion Unit-01. Is that hardcore?

(I got inspired when I saw a car shaped like an X-wing parked outside a Best Buy)

Cross dressing is funny to a certain degree (if it's in good humor that is). But for the most part it's just distubing.
