I don't normally unleash a hate-parade anymore, but I seriously gotta say this straight out: If you get a tattoo of an anime character on yourself, you're dumb. Dumb like "I define my existence thru anime" dumb. Tattoos are permanent. I have three, myself. If you're gonna get a tattoo, make sure that each one defines you, and isn't a slogan for something that you like. I've got kanji's of Order and Chaos on me, to describe my own personal dichotomy. My boy James, he's got every significant event of his life recorded on his back in kanji. I think he's crazy.
But anime? think about it. seventy years from now, when you croak, you're gonna have a cartoony pic of some fire-breathing lizard on your gut?

Oh yeah? And who are you to say? What gives you the right to label people as "crazy", even in the colloquial sense, just because they want to get anime-themed tattoos? Shit, I'm going to get a tattoo of the dragon of heaven (from the X TV series) on my left flank (lower ribs), the dragon of earth on my right, a sword in the middle, and an X at the top of my chest to finish it up. Costly, yes. But I feel like doing it. Doesnt make me crazy, doesnt make it an ill considered venture. When I croak however long from now, I'm not really going to give a shit about what I have tattooed on me. If people wanna laugh, I'll let 'em. Fuck, I'll be dead so it wont matter, will it.
