Appleseed
woah woah WOAH!!!!!!!!

A new appleseed movie....................... hmmm, didnt they learn.??? How many times must we make these mistakes before they relize??? Alast, tis too late captain, theyre making it, i just hope Matsuhiro Shirow has something to do with it this time...................then it might be good
Would that be Masamune's evil twin? :)

This one's actually going to be a cell-shaded cg movie. The production team have been going on about some trinity engine they're using, which is supposed to revolutionize motion. From what I've seen in previews, it looks nice, but not ridicoulously final-fantasy-amazing. The whole thing is in english apparently, with a crap voice actress for Deunan.
I don't think Shirow has had anything to do with it, he's never really been involved in animation adaptations of his work, i think.

Personally I'm having trouble waiting another day for Innocence. Ofcourse the fact that it's released in march 2004 doesn't actually say anything about when the west will get to see it in decent form, which only makes me more anxious.
yes, thats why the adaptations have been crap.................. hmmmmm he really should get involved..........

You cant really make a sequel to cowboy bepop......... wouldnt work............. an ova maybe ed and ein................yeah, i like that, could always make a prequel....... his days in the syndicate.............. mneh, should leave it alone really, most things should, that why series go crap............. people draw them out to long...........
I play violent computer games! I could snap at any minute!!!!

Which is the new movie from Makoto Shinkai, the creator of Hoshi no Koe (Voices of a Distant Star). The pilot/trailer for this has been around since last year, so I've been looking forward to it for a while now.

As for series, I'm psyched about Samurai Champloo and Jubei-Chan 2.
He's back? RAWK. I loved HnK...

Also, that 15-second teaser for Samurai Champloo looks definatively kickass, so that's definately a must-get for me. Hell, I'll even be able to get the R2s =)

Actually, I really liked GitS:SAC, and I think the GitS movie is pretty much the best anime I've seen. But I agree the original Appleseed (and Dominion) werne't all that great.

In short, no.
