INUYASHA!!!!

Post by ryuu_hime13 » Sun Oct 19, 2003 12:27 pm

I'm a huge Inuyasha fan...unfortunately, Cartoon Network has been airing it at midnight and what with the oh-so-enthralling toils of junior year I haven't been able to see it in ages... Sango rocks.

dislike the english dub, they call Kiara "Keylala". I can't stand that. They tend to get other names wrong too.
Maybe they watched A Christmas Story(1983) too many times.

I'm not really sure how they would put it back together since one of the shards is keeping Kohaku alive.

Now I've only just got into Inuyasha and I've only seen eps (10-51 and Inuyasha movie 2) so I don't know that much but I do have a couple of questions for the more knowledgable ones out there.

Okay Kagome travels back to the feudal age because she has the shikon shards but how/why can Inuyasha travel to modern times? He doesn't have any shikon shards... does he?

What is it with the "Sit" command? I think it has something to do with Inuyasha's neck chain but other than that I don't know. Why would Inuyasha allow himself to be bound that way? (obviously he didn't have a choice) Why can only Kagome use the command? At one stage I thought it had something to do with him getting bound for 50 years and Kagome being the reincarnated Kikyo but then why can Kikyo use the command?

And finally what is up with Sesshomaru fluffy thing? Is it supposed to be his tail? Or is it just part of his armour? Or is it just one of those stylistic things that is never explained?

The shit command? That was Kaede's doing. When Kagome and Inuyasha first met Inuyasha mistook hre for Kikyo and he tried to kill her. Kaede put that thing around her neck. I wasn't aware that Kikyo used it at any point. Sesshomaru's tail...::looks confused:; What IS up with that? I'm gonna have to ask anime sensei III.

They never really explain why it's only Inu and Kagome who can travel through eras. I think it has something to do with the whole "power of love" thing. Basically, they can do anything to get to each other. There's even a part in the first movie (which I won't talk about because I can't remember the spoiler code) but in it they communicate in a very cool fashion. As for Fluffy-sama's tail, I think it's just one of those inexplicable things...

I've only watched Inuyasha on Cartoon Network, so what I know of the series is very limited. However, they sum up at one point in the series (the part shown on CN) that only demons and those with Shikon jewel shards can pass through the well. This doesn't explain how she got all her stuff (her bike, medical gear, etc) through the well. They basically pulled a "Highlander", and kept changing the rules to fit all the mushy stuff they wanted in the plotline.

Sesshomaru's "tail" is probably just some bit of his father's hide (or his own) made into a fur sash (consider it part of his fancy outfit, to signify his "royal" demon bloodlines).

Once the shards are put back together (if they could heal Kohaku like they did with Sango, who also had a jewel shard in her back to help her defeat Inuyasha, they could get all the pieces), Kagome would have to purify it (being the only one with those powers, and the desire to purify the jewel). It was mentioned Sango's village was the original home of the jewel, but it's true origins are unknown. It would probably stay with Kagome and Inuyasha's crew, until it could be protected permanently in Kaede's village.
