Whos to say that spike died, and that he didnt just awaken from his sleep that wasnt worth dreaming anymore? I'm not gonna make a big thing here but i agree either way that bebop 2 is an even worse idea...

if you think about what he means by a dream he can never wake up from its a mere metaphor. He died and if he "woke up" then that just means there really IS an afterlife..thingy, and if he didnt...then he's just dead --; Im not big on religion so im thinkin he's just dead and no afterlife --; But yeah, waking up would merely be going to what is called heaven or hell, or the afterlife thing the egyptians got --;....and i cant spell today so whatever --;

Honestly the reason it got even worse is because of all the death threat letters the guy got from fans and then he tries to make a movie that was good but couldn't and ends up messing it up more. I say they should do a second series only knowing if they have the money to complete it this time sort of like how they are waiting to do Outlaw Star 2 (Retaliation) currently they have the right circumstances but yet the creator Takehiko Ito says he's going continue it by manga. So maybe the future does have something in plan after all. My point is they should wait until they have the finacial support they need to creator a whole series without messing up the end.

It could be after shinji and asuka were left alone. It could be they have started to repopulate the earth. and then hundreds of years later the angels mae a re appearance and try to finish the job.

Well there could be a new series because technically they didn’t fight actual angels they fought different forms of humans right. So they could make a new series on that and a new world or just start all over in a new universe situation like they hint at in the final episodes. I don’t know it wouldn’t be that hard if they pulled the first one off over budget, over the time period they were given and it is one of the greatest anime’s of all time then I don’t see why they couldn’t pull this one off. Also there could be a CB 2 because at the end of the Knocking on Heavens Doors Spike falls a sleep and the move comes before the last two episodes so Spike could have been dreaming all of it

Eva was a great series ... but i don't think they should fuck with it ... i've said this enough ... i don't know why i'm compeled to say it again ... but leave well enough be ... if it aint broken don't fuck with it!

You don't get the whole "Angel" thing, do you? Mankind is the 18th Angel. Our species is a different variation of Adam and Lillith, which is made up by some of the same "stuff" that forms the angels. Remember that the Angels didn't come until AFTER 2nd Impact: meaning the Angels came after over half of the world's population was sacrificed. If you watch the scenes with Lillith in Terminal Dogma, note all those lower torsos of humans are sticking out of her? Think about it this way: Adam and Lillith's matter was used to create their children, which were the Angels (including mankind). Well, as time progressed over the years, and mankind proved to be the most adaptable Angel, they outbred all the specialized Angels (Sandalphon, Israfel, and all the other forms). Imagine all the Angels feeding off the same source for their soul (AT Field), and their matter (LCL). This is hinted at by Misato when she refers to the Room of Gauf being depleted of new souls, and God having to salvage the dead souls to replenish the human population.

Also, note the lack of human children being born after 2nd Impact. What does this all mean? This means Second Impact reset the distribution of all the "stuff" that makes up the Angels, killing off half the human population in order to salvage the "stuff", and redistribute it into specialized forms.

The Dead Sea Scrolls could've been written at a time when mankind was just beginning to thrive, and the "stuff" that was evenly distributed among the different Angel variations started being transferred all into the human race, since that was the most efficient, adaptable form of Angel that had evolved, and the most stable (which would follow the 2nd Law of Thermodynamics).

I rewashed End of Eva last night and I hate to say it but I was wrong. I really don’t know were I got my idea from maybe its because the last time I saw it it was four in the morning. Thanks Toecutter for correcting me. So now I change my view of what I have posted above to the different universe being the only way they could make a EVA 2. (Ives begins to bang his head on his desk repeatedly saying stupid as he submits his post as people walk by him staring in bewilderment)
