Sex in anime is hentai

Partial nudity, lingerie and over the top cuteness is ecchi.

If they're having ANY kind of sex, it's hentai.

Ranma for instance is not hentai just because you can see him/her naked.

Only when it's onscreen though. There are also cases like KareKano where it isn't shown and is there just for the romance.

Implied means nothing. We all know people have sex eventually.

But when you get to see the parts actually being used.... that's different.
