And I am also saying THAT IT IS COMPLETELY UNREASONABLE TO EXPECT PEOPLE TO OWN THE DVD SET OF EACH AND EVERY SERIES THEY WANT TO WATCH, ESPECIALY ONE LIKE KENSHIN!
So in other words, one part of the community is waging war on another part of the community because they take their community seriously enough to want to do so. Then they tell the powerless side to get over the loss cause it's just an online community. I'm glad people make so much sense." -- Tab

Ok, now try to watch the anime, only this time, no money. All of you that want to watch anime, try to, without buying it.

So, lets recap, Anyone that downloads any anime, (licenced or not,) should be drug out into the street and shot, and the only people that should be allowed to watch it should be rich enough to pay to watch it. Even if it is a crappy series like dragon ball Z.

Since we live in a society that is set up on the basis of capitalism, we are expected to pay for most of the goods and services available are we not?
And unless you are too young, what is wrong with getting a job even if it is just to pay for stuff you want? I'd love to be a position where I could get a job and just buy things like anime, computer games and accessories and go see a movie/go out to eat all the time
Too bad I have bills and rent now....
If we don't buy anime then what reason do companies have to bring titles over at all?
I can admit to having mp3s and I have downloaded stuff. Mostly I have things that aren't out yet, but I also own quite a bit of dvd and prehistoric vhs tapes
I am lucky enough to live *relatively* near a comic shop that rents over 2000 anime titles. Mostly dubs....but is easy on the budget while supporting my local economy

Do you get food for free, have a free place of residence, have a free computer, free access to the internet? If so I would like to know how, so that I may also have all these things for free. I know I wouldn't complain about you getting a series on DVD for free if you could tell me how to get all of that other stuff for free.CaTaClYsM wrote:So, lets recap, Anyone that downloads any anime, (licenced or not,) should be drug out into the street and shot, and the only people that should be allowed to watch it should be rich enough to pay to watch it. BTW, did I mention that recording things off television is not illegal? any anime aired on CT and the action channel is legal to record, and thusly own. As a matter of fact, thats where I got my copy of macross plus (one of my all time favorite animes.) But wait? how am I supporting my anime by recording it off TV? And I know the first thing you are going to go for is advertizing, well guess what, my uncut copy of macross plus is free of any comercial interuptions. Now, how is it that macross plus is aired without comercials and able to pull a profit? I cannot repeat enough how RETARDED it is to tell people to pay to buy their anime WHEN THEY DON'T HAVE MONEY TO DO IT! And I KNOW that there are people here that have seen all of kenshin without paying for the series. Not to mention any unlicenced anime, or trigun, or CB or evangelion, or ranma 1/2. And I wouldn't be surprised if some of these are the same people griping about those who don't buy all their anime.

I don't know why, but for some reason I'm getting a feeling of deja vu.
Just because you won't pay for the anime you watch doesn't make you right.
