In Japan, the entire manga was only Dragon Ball. The anime made the transition after Gokou's marriage, because of the dramatic turn the series was taking. Viz I believe, did release it as DBZ. That's just ignorance on their part and desire to exploit the name.

Oh, ok. I had bought some magazines a while back that had the raditz series in it. They were in english but read from back to front

That makes a lot of sense though. Companies can be greedy about popular stuff.

I personaly find that the broly movbies wer the best i alsow find that janemba was good and hidegran.

It is trus that we only see those great caracters only in those movies but like everything goes. ""Somme times when something loocks to good to be true it actualy is"" But i have to say that i like the fack that they did not make them in teh episodes. Like sommethings it is good that there is no continuation. I find that it is good that they made it a movies insted of episodes^_^

How more clearly can I explain it.

In Japan. There was never DBZ manga. It was only DB the entire time. In America they changed it so they could take advantage of the name.

The manga was translated as DBZ in america, but it was all DB in Japan. And I think it was Toei that named it DBZ, not Viz. I could be wron though.

Toei is responsible for everything wrong that happened to DBZ.

OH GOD FORBID THEY TRY AND MAKE MONEY!! THE HORROR!! Seriously, the manga was treated extremely well and youre bitching because they changed the name, sort of? It was actually quite resonable because it made more sense to americans who were used to the stories being two different series. They were just trying to make it less confusing. Also, keeping the manga back to front is just stupid. It doesnt make it more like the original because japanese are used to that, were not. So us reading front to back is the same the them reading back to the front. Has far as flipping it altering the artwork, I think its a pretty inconsiquental change. Much less than translating the dialog, or is that unnaceptable too?
