The thing that bothers me so much with the Pokemon games is that it's nearly the same storyline for every game |:
When I know what to expect it really does start to get boring, that being said, I'm a dork and I bought Emerald, oh well.
I'm actually interested in seeing the original Pokemon series' but I can't find the Japanese version anywhere (ahem the non-legal versions that is). >.>

How are you confused? I looked up Advanced and found the animenewsnetwork website. When I saw the number of episodes, it said 408. Check the link yourself.Rurounikeitaro wrote:Hold up, I'm confused.
Malificus said the Advanced saga is when he leaves Misty and Brock behind but Megaman917 said Advanced is 408 episodes.
What?

Sorry for not going with the flow of the thread but I thought I'd answer the question posed in the first post
Pokemon Blue was personally the game I was most anxious to get before it came out. And then Target didn't release it until a day or two after it was supposed to come out
Heck I don't even think I anticipated Half Life 2 as much as Pokemon Blue, but then again Half Life 2's anticipation was spread out over the course of several years
I watched the series for about the first year it was out (so what was that, 1998? 1999?).

Well, in my humble opinion I think that the anime series totally sucks, after five episodes looking at the Team Rocket blasted from pikachu AGAIN, I started thinking "What the h***, couldn't those japanese dudes have more inventive?? I mean, even Card Captor Sakura and Sailor Moon are less predictable!"
Surprisingly enough, the movies are OK, I liked them all (specially the first) but Destiny Deoxys, because Deoxys sucks as villain (they made him a Love&Peace guy! Blah!)
Instead I love the games, I'm waiting for Pearl&Diamond. The only thing that bugs me is the realease of three copies of the games that in the end are exactly the same!

Red/Blue are terribly unbalanced (only ghost/dragon move did set amount of damage, etc...). With all the other games it just got more and more confusing, with all the great numbers of pokemon with strange names, and you didn't know how to fight them because they could be any type... I can't watch the series now; it's too silly. But those were good times. I remember playing the rom and being so excited about buying the game....

Exactly the same thing that I wanted to say when I saw this thread.
