you mean its not a cartoon? looks pretty animated to me.
So in other words, one part of the community is waging war on another part of the community because they take their community seriously enough to want to do so. Then they tell the powerless side to get over the loss cause it's just an online community. I'm glad people make so much sense." -- Tab

Actually, the show RadicalEdo was referring to was called The Noozles. There is some info here, but not a lot aside from the Japanese title, Fushigi na koala Blinky (The Wonderous Koala Blinky, according to the site) and the Japanese, English, and Korean VAs.Tsuji Mania wrote:I believe you were reffering to Koalla Walla World. That was indeed drawn by Japanese artists, as was Bell and Sebastian and numerous other cartoons that appeared on Nickelodeon in the old days.
http://us.imdb.com/Title?0302211
It was about two koala's and their human friend, Sandy. Blinky constantly "slept" in a comatose state, and everyone thinks he is a stuffed bear. He only woke up when Sandy "noozled" him (rubbed noses). Blinky had a watch that could freeze ti8me, as I recall. His sister, Pinky, had a bag full of wierd enchanted artifacts, like the watch, and she could travel between dimensions, most opften between Earth and their home, Koalla Walla Land, where humans were forbidden to enter. Koalla Lalla Land was highly xenophobic and they hated humans. As I recall, <<<<SPOILERS>>>>
the series had a very bittersweet ending when the citizens of Koalla Lalla Land attempted to seperate their world from Earth, but since the two were interconnected, this would destroy BOTH realities. Blinky and Pinky were able to prevent the seperation from occuring, but they were unable to return to Earth, and Sandy, as a result. Although, I believe I never got to see the final episode, because the last episode I remember seeing, Blinky and Pinky jumped on top of a coloumn of light and were taken away into the sky, and Sandy just stood there watching and was wondering to herself if she would ever see them again.
I used to watch that show all the damn time, if you haven't figured that out by now.
I wonder if they'll put Invasion America out in video stores? I haven't seen it out yet, but I only got to see ep 1, so I'm curious about the rest.

threre are 3 defenitions of anime, the japanese one (which means cartoon) the one which means cartoon from japan, and the one which means the specific style typicaly used in japan. Invasion America falls under 2 of the 3 defenitions and it was animated in korea, which is japanese enough for me.

There is one definition of anime.
Animation.
The ignorant American fanbase has adopted that term to mean animated cartoons from Japan, just as they've taken otaku to be a positive conotation, when in fact it was when Tsutomu Miyazaki molested, dismembered, cooked, ate, observed rotting and mailed bones back to the parents of several young girls that the term otaku became wide-spread for someone obsessed with something. Being an otaku is nothing to be proud of. Otaku are the anti-social kids who sit in the rooms all days huddled in little balls and will one day snap, and say for instance, sever the head of a classmate and post it on the school-yard fence as happened not so long ago.
Getting back to the point, should you ever visit Japan and say, "I like anime!" This question will no doubt follow,
"Oh really? So which Disney movie do you like the best?"
However if you say "I like Japanese anime" then your conversation partner will usually express some shock.
And may God help you if you say smiling, "Yup! I'm an otaku!"
