Well, I'm somewhat glad that Case Closed is getting the boot. It's good, but not great. However I don't know how they're getting Super Milk-Chan on AS. When ADV got it, they chocked it full of language and the show itself is a little dirty to be aired on AS. I'm not against any of that. I'm just saying I'm interested in how they'll pull it off. [Off-topic] I myself am awaiting the arrival of GitS:SAC 1st GIG in Nov.

Stand Alone Complex on AS? Well, that'll teach me to not follow AS since May.
In all truth... about AS catering to the hardcore otakus, that only goes so far. Remember they need to sell out a bit to realistically fill their coffers.
Hardcore otakus, would be against airing licsensed properties that the dub company absolutely butchered. Detective Conan would be one. Overlooking the reworked title of the series, I mean "Jimmy Kudo"? Therefor, while they may express the sentiment of hardcore otakuism, they can not stay true to their demands in a North American broadcast market.
Someone expressed it earlier in this thread, better than nothing at all.
