Hmm... my friend got me into anime about two years ago--watched a couple of eps of Noir, then some other random stuff (Koge-pan, couple of movies, I don't remember what all it was). First series I watched all the way through was Eva. Yay for marathons!

I had an extremely similar experience. Sailor Moon would be on at around 6 am on weekdays so I'd watch it everday as I got ready for school. I was in six grade then and am in college now. I still adore the show. I remember being so upset because whenever it'd reach a certain point in the Dark Moon saga they'd restart the series from the beginning and it was so frustrating. I didn't really find out that it was anime or what 'anime' was until I got my own computer and was able to do some research. From there I got into all kinds of different series. Sailor Moon will always hold a special place in my heart though.Zarxrax wrote:I got into Sailor Moon back when it was in syndication... back when i was in 8th grade (wow that was like 8-9 years ago...) I just turned on the tv one day and there it was. At first I was just like... "wtf... this is so... DUMB." But I just watched it anyways as I had nothing better to do. Over the days I would occasionally catch another episode or 2, and before I knew it, I was HOOKED. I had to get my fix every single weekday right after school. Then the unthinkable happened, and it was pulled off the air! Oh woe was me, never before had I felt such attatchment to a tv program. But time went on, and I eventually got hooked up to the internet. I discovered that sailor moon had a huge following online,

I really enjoyed Cardcaptor Sakura, and sadly just did not see enough episodes. But a fun and enjoyable series nonetheless.
I find myself watching Yu-Gi-Oh occasionally due to my severe lack of decent anime. However I am very happy that Teletoon brought back Cybersix... hopefully this time they do better and somebody gets up to do a second season. The first season was very fun to watch and the last episode just left me wanting more of it.
My DVD collection is limited at the moment to only a few (but good imo) animes. Ghost in the Shell being my favorite of them, and the others being Macross Plus (the OVA not the movie), and Ninja Scroll. I was trying very hard to get Wings of Honneamise but ran out of money and the nearest store where I can even buy anime is an hour away (and they also have crap selection).
I'm hoping for my situation to improve as soon as I get into university.
Anyways I was just wondering, because I have seen Sailor Moon in the past, and was wondering are there any guys here that like the show? I myself found it very difficult to get into. Don't get me wrong I'm not bashing it, but it just never really suited my tastes.
Right now I am watching Kanon, PlanetES, and Star Ocean EX as they appear on EATV.

I'll have to expose you to the uncut box sets Madokai, the first series is was like watching a completely different series when I saw it uncut and subbed. You may be able to get into it

Hmm when I was in 6th grade I used to watch it all the time on cartoon network all the way until they stoped showing it. Also a few of my friends used to watch it at that time to.Madokai wrote:Anyways I was just wondering, because I have seen Sailor Moon in the past, and was wondering are there any guys here that like the show? If the army or navy ever looks upon heavens scenes, they would see that the streets are guarded by the United States Marines.
