Kagome vs Kikyo... who would you pick?

As for the question...I'm a HUGE fan of Kagome and Inu-Yasha as a couple. However if the two mikos were to duke it out...Kikyo would probably win. 8) Only because she's stronger than Kagome and more experienced.
Kikyo is also badly mistreated in the Inu-Yasha fandom world and I find that unfair. I like Inu-Yasha and Kagome as a couple, yes, but I do like Kikyo more as a character.

I think the main reason she's disliked is because she so cynical. Like I said before I used to pity and feel sorry for Kikyo. A lot of bad stuff happened to her so she has a right to feel angry.
I really started to dislike Kikyo when she tried to kill Kagome. She's nasty to Kagome (when Kagome is trying to help) then turns around takes her (kagome) jewel shard. Not to mention when Inuyasha showed up, she stood there and mocked knowing full well he wasn't going to do anything to stop her.

What Kikyo needs is a persciption fo Zoloft.

X2 oh god that's soo funny, well to me and generally it doesn't take much to amuse me, but i definatly agree. kikyo and inuyasha had their thing and now that kikyo is back she's turned into a full on bitch, that upset me so much that she tried to kill kagome when kagome has saved her ass and been nothing but nice to her. she never says anything to inu about kikyo and him just getting over it, she keeps it to herself, although she should lay the smack down once in a while i mean honestly, inu can be kinda rude sometimes when it comes to that. not really thinking about how he could be making kagome feel. boys

so obviously my vote has i've stated before, sorry to be so redunant, is with kagome jsut incase you missed that. lol

LOL! I agree with that Zoloft thing.

Unfortantly, what you mentioned ONLY happened in the anime. In the anime, Kikyo is shown as a very evil person. In the manga, while she did try to kill Kagome, she didn't face Inu-Yasha afterwards. In fact, Kagome never actually TOLD Inu-Yasha what really happened. So he never finds out it happened. Since more people are exposed to the anime, they feel Kikyo is evil. She's not. In the manga, she isn't as cruel.

Don't you just love it when anime messes around with the original manga character's personality.

I'd actually like to see Inu Yasha with Kagome. Maybe Kikyo and Inu Yasha did love each other, but that's in the past. If he'd open up his eyes, Inu Yasha would see that he'd be much happier living in the present. *passes about cookies of wisdom* ^_^ Enjoy!

Kagome is probably still a virgin so she's got that going for her. Kikiyo is dead so that would constitute necrophilia, and necrophilia is worse than statutory rape.

Hm, a lot of good points have been brought up in this topic, especially those made by Arigatomyna on the Kenshin section. I had just started watching the series on CN, and had gotten through alot of the Kyoto arc without having any idea that he had been previously married until l watched one of the movies about it with a friend.

Now, for the main topic of Kagome vs Kikyo: Kikyo is the one Inuyasha was meant to be with, especially if you take into consideration that he was going to renounce his demon form and she was going to give up her role as priestess for them to be together. Kikyo stil believes that Inuyasha had tricked and betrayed her just to get the jewel, according to the episodes shown so far on CN, so of course Kikyo would have to feel a bit upset, seeing as how she had such strong feelings for him, as he had seemed to have been lieing to her all that time. There's more to that, but I'll have to finish my thoughts tomorrow, 'cause I need to get some sleep before school.

Kagome for sure. Unlike Kikyo, she's alive and hasn't been a corpse for 50 years. Personally I think kikyo looks better.
