I'd be surprised, as not only have they been pretty adamant about not making any more, but because the director's been presumable busy making Samurai Chanploo.Kracus wrote:Has anyone heard of a New Cowboy Bebop series?

This one's actually going to be a cell-shaded cg movie. The production team have been going on about some trinity engine they're using, which is supposed to revolutionize motion. From what I've seen in previews, it looks nice, but not ridicoulously final-fantasy-amazing. The whole thing is in english apparently, with a crap voice actress for Deunan.
I don't think Shirow has had anything to do with it, he's never really been involved in animation adaptations of his work, i think.
Personally I'm having trouble waiting another day for Innocence. Ofcourse the fact that it's released in march 2004 doesn't actually say anything about when the west will get to see it in decent form, which only makes me more anxious.

Watanabe was asked if there will be more Cowboy Bebop episodes after the original series' apparently definitive finish. "We knew that it would be a hit and it would be a really big hit," he answered, "so that we were thinking that people would say `make a new series' and it would end up as something like Star Trek. I thought it would be a problem if I kept creating new Cowboy Bebop series for the next 30 years until I'm an old man. I thought that if I made the finish really final, I wouldn't have to draw any more."
and that is utterly vague.

Personally if there is going to be more Bebop, I'd like to see a short OAV or something. Maybe along the lines of:
"The Adventures of Ed and Ein"
C'mon, now that would be cool.
Other than that, I really don't think there needs to be any more.
