I'd still call Chinese and Korean animation "anime", although with a definer (like, "Korean anime"). Mostly because of the cultural connotations that come to mind from the word "anime" - Japanese animation, and Japan being an Asian country, anime can mean "Asian" animation, if other Asian countries make their own stuff.
It was originally a Japanese thing, but I think it's broadened out into an Asian thing.

Yeah, but like I said, it's wrong. Sure some people use it, but the word is normally associated with Japanese Animation. Go to Korea or China and say anime and see what they think.
