Yes... I'm still about.
I just don't come about that much.
Mainly, I have a hard time keeping up with message boards as I am often working on other things and can only come to the boards when time permits.
This makes it very hard to maintain any kind of coherency with what's being said. Furthermore... you get the bad element dogging your heels and I have better things to do with my time then fight those mongrels off.
As for EVA, I knew very little about the Khaballa when I saw the show. However, I had taken classes in Philosophy, Psychology and film theory. I watched the show with a good friend of mine who had no real "advanced" education, but much more "street smarts" then I will ever have. The two of us spent hours discussing each episode after we watched it. In our discussions we paid attention to details and through ideas back and forth and after we saw the last two episodes, we had about a six hour discussion (non-stop) going over all the themes, values and emotions contained in the show.
We were able to grasp much of the show... and while there were some questions we didn't know the answers to, we were still able to easily grasp the overall theme of the show.
Now... I also have the good fortune of someone who has spent over ten years of his life studying the Khaballa. He was able to point out lots of nice extra tid-bits contained in the show. He showed me how much fine detail there was ON TOP of the brilliant show I already had such high regard for.
Thanks to my discussions with him, I have some extra knowledge... however... as DWChang said... you don't NEED to know the Khaballa stuff to appretiate the excellent message that Evangelion imparts.
I consider myself well versed on the show and I will certainly defend any points I make using the show or other information as a base.
However... I know there is still a lot that I don't know... because my friend has spoken on things that just so went over my head that I need to have a refresher on some of those topics... but again... the stuff he talked about was more for your personal enjoyment of the details that are contained in the surface story.

hmmm wait a minuite ... just over ten years? no that wouldn't work unless this guy was about 15 or 16 years old ... since IIRC many hacidic jews are taught how to read using the torah ... no wait a minuite ... shit ... i jsut relaised what a massive fuck up that was.
The Khaballa is a very heavy mysticist text ... in order to read it you "need" to have read the torah twice, be 30 years or older (i think 30) and have the permission of a rabbi. Ok so never mind ... religion class is kicking in ... plus i kind of forgot that anyone can study the khaballa. Yea never mind all my rabble ... as it is noise over signal as phade would call it.
but all this stuff should hold true only if this person is a hasidic jew ... if heisn't then ... meh i've been flappingmy gums ... err ... fingers in the wind. Sorry.

I am the definitive Expert here on Eva. I have hand loved myself to Hikari many a lonely night. So to answer your questions.
1.Yes Rei is a clone. She's not very hot I would call her Emergency wack. But shes a clone of Shinjis mom so if he ever did anything to her he would really be a mommas boy.
2.No you never find out where the angels come from because they don't look like angels anyway!! Angels are susposed to be super hot chicks with wings dammit!!! Can't very well wack to an effeminate boy like kouru or whatever his name is. Oh and where may I ask is his fucking harp Huh???
Fuck Eva want to watch a Real anime with Religous hoo ha in it watch Omg 3000X more wackable. And you don't even have to read the Kablabba or whatever those skullcap wearing Penny pinchers read.

I could write once again about your overall ignorance and the drivel that you subject on people... but I was thinking... why bother? We all know what a useless and pathetic waste of life you are.Mroni wrote:And you don't even have to read the Kablabba or whatever those skullcap wearing Penny pinchers read.
However... I look at this last part of your entry and wonder to myself who on this planet you don't hate. Some people might be amused by the racist, sexist and homophobic comments you frequently regergetate onto this message board, but caustic insults such as these are no laughing matter.
I don't need to say more.

I think Mroni can blame the bad influence of gangsta rap for that, kind of. After all, didn't Ice Cube get in trouble for a Korean version of the same statement with "Black Korea"?
And you two go together. Like the stodgy, conservative sportscaster and the fat, jolly clown who cheers on every touchdown.
