Azumanga Daioh has been digisubbed. It's also been licensed by ADV, apparently, so you could wait for the official DVDs.

I don't quite see where the porn factor of AzuDaioh comes from either... but then, for the longest time given the subject matter of the series I figured it was Shojo and not Shonen, so *shrugs*. It's cute (as in "Aww! Look at the cute kitten!" cute), silly, fun, and a departure from the norm of extraordinary things happening to teenagers with super powers in that it's, well, the halfway normal high-school adventures of a group of slightly odd but believable girls.

I agree with Ashyukun, kthulu and so on; I like Azumanga for the humour and the enjoyable, well-crafted characters it contains. Fanservice is not something I enjoy in anime =/

You two aren't the only ones, I personally like this show for multiple reasons, I mainly saw it because of an article in Newtype I read, I think this show is hilarious, favorite part being Tomo wanting to smash the watermelon and Kagura crushing it instead.
If people have to take this show and say these things, they have no life and are deeply disturbed.
