Chakra would be impossible to spell in Japanese. Here's your possibilities...

ちゃから (chakara)
ちゃきら (chakira)
ちゃくら (chakura)
ちゃけら (chakera)
ちゃこら (chakora)

Dictionary says none of them exist. However...

chaka = tea and cakes
chaki = tea utensils
chaku = counter for suits and clothing
chakkou = start of construction work
chakkari = shrewd, calculating, nervy, cheeky

I have seen it, but don't remember exactly. I believe it refers to the centers of energy in the human body, or maybe to the mystical third eye humans are supposed to have on the forehead.

Or... it could be chikara? Dammnit, I wish I hadn't left that damn book home...

Yeah, they could be borrowing the word from another language (Hell, they do that stuff with English all the time)... or it could be an invented word. Who knows.

All I know ist hat it don't exist in the Japanese dictionaries I've looked in.. so it's not a native Japanese word. 8)
