Its cool that they are showing more diverse anime but I hope that they show more genres of anime not just action. They need to show a comedy, romance and drama type anime. So far they cant seem to get out of "super saiyan" mode. What I mean is they look for the most action packed anime with flashy things. That might be ok for little kids but its not very diversed. "Tom" said it best "toonami is your #1 place for action cartoons."

that would rock, although techtv is doing a good job of covering other forms of anime, i think their first anime series they showed was serial experiments lain, which to my understanding (i havn't seen it) is pretty sad and more of a drama than anything else, though thats just what i've been told

Yeah, I have techTV and they are showing a wide variety of anime. Oh and to make it even better...I don't think they're editing that much. The only minus (obviously) is it's dubbed. I did talk to a friend earlier about the possibility of showing a subtitled anime in america one day and he said the technology is already there on the network side. If you live in Texas, you know that some of the channels can use the other audio channel and be in Spanish. If a network providing anime would do this and use the Close Caption as subtitles" things would be right in the world.

Oh, hell, my campus TV station has the capacity to broadcast subbed anime if they wanted. You just take a DVD player, hook it to the broadcaster, and it broadcasts whatever is played in the DVD player. You don't have to use the closed captioning as subtitles at all. The only trick is to get the rights to play the DVD.

I'm a big fan of Trigun and I just watched the entire series subbed, after watching it Monday night on Adult Swim it almost hurt. Vash's voice I could almost say I hated. Maybe it will get better with time and I'll get use to it, but it just wasn't right. I'm probably going to stop watching it on Adult Swim just b/c the voices aren't that good. Millie's voice is pretty bad too. The only ok voice was meryl, but overall I thought it was pretty bad. The subbed version is soooo much better as it is with almost all anime.

Well I don't think anything you have to "get used to" is the right way to do things. I mean if I drank piss for a month, I'm sure I'd get used to it. I'd say you should do just that...avoid it all together. It's painful.

I actually love the dub. Vash sounds bad at first, but in all honesty he really grows on you, especially durring the more dramatic parts of the series (on top of that his laugh is perfect, lets face it). Wolfwood's voice is good as well. About Milly, she's supposed to sound annoying, her JAP voice was annoying.

I hate most dubs, but I honestly like the Trigun one, give it a few eps before you judge.

I knew it! I knew they would never show a gun to the head!!! So this means that whenever a gun is near a persons head or the person is shot in the head, it will be cut.
