Technically, Ah! My Goddess has machines... and robots... :P

They're kinda on the long side and more sitcoms, but I'd suggest you try Kimagure Orange Road and Maison Ikkoku.

I don't know what the problem is... if somebody doesn't want robots just don't use the scenes with the robots :wink:

I might add Strawberry Panic - its the best love anime i've ever seen (apart from la blue girl of course)
