Who here has seem all of kenshin? and how does it compare to

I own the entire series. I met to say the oavs the movie is just the characters from the tv series. I think we stuck with up to shishio and then we kept hoping it would get better but it sucks after shishio is killed.

If you ask if I own all of the japanese version, than yes. If american, than no, considering the last oavs haven't been released yet.

I haven't read the manga, but from what I have heard, the reason the 3rd part of the series drops off is because after Kyoto is where it departs from the manga and goes off on its own. I do find it ammusing that the only time Sano's sword (destroyed in ep 5) would be useful is not until ep 80 something. I didn't think any part was that bad, but I do admit the third part drops a little. As to the OAV's... The first one kicked ass, but the second one sucked. Maybe this is because of the way I got it (Downloaded in two parts), but the entire thing was very boring and confusing. Maybe it makes sense to people who have read the manga, but if you've only seen the series and the first OAV, you have new characters popping up from nowhere without explanation, time skipping back and forward, and a horrible ending.

I just finished watching the Christain sotry arc, so I am almost done with Tales from the Meiji. I dunno why people hate that last season so much... true, there's some filler, but I thought the story with the son of god was good.

And also, keep in mind that the third season wasn't in the manga.. i think if they had made a 4th season, they would have done more of the manga, but as it was, it got cancelled after season 3.

There is apparantly some stuff for the Revenge arc that was animated and going to be used for a 4th season, but since the show was cancelled it was never released.

I'll take back some of what I said before, the Christian story arc is pretty good. Sano has always been my favorite Kenshin character, and I think he really shines in that part, even though it's pretty sad.

well from the few series that i've watched i found kenshin as one of the best series , I mean is great, the animation, the characters, it has an awsome plot, overall i found the series pretty damn good and worth buying.

I have seen the entire series, and i own the first OVA and like all the dvds until the shimabara's arc. The dvds are pretty good. Good quality , a descent menu and Funny extras, so yep i think it was worth it.

In my opinion if u wanna get into kenshin you should watch the First OVA first, Is the most interesting part of the series(is when everthing starts), and it has the best fights of all kenshin series. Ill have to agree with some of u, after the shimabara'arc and the Three knights, the story gets boring, and it has no sense at all in my opinion.

personally i dont think the movie isnt good at all, I mean jeez on the entire movie they repeat the begining of the movie like a thousand times!. so in my opinion, the movie really sucked.

Seisouhen was really good also, i really liked it. the first part is like a recap from all the important parts of the series, And they recreate all those parts again and made them more realistic animated. The second part is what happend years later after the series ended, and its really good( the best part of seisouhen in my opinion was when kenji and yahiko fight it was really cool!). As far of the ending of the series goes, i personally liked, i think that it was a good way to end the series.

So like i said, if you are interested buy it , But dont buy all the DVDS at the same time is a big purchase and maybe u might not like the series.

I like the Kenshin show, but the Manga is SO much better.
They didn't animate tha best of the whole story, and went off on their own. I sorta liked the son of god deal, but I hated the rest, especially the Feng Shui part.
If they'd only animated the rest of jinchuu, not just the memories part...
