After reading all those prices im confused @_@
First of all theres a 13 episode OVA which was remastered recently u can find the remaster from 30-40 online. (60 is retail)
Then theres a TV series thats 26 episodes and runs 70-90 online. (120 is retail) btw these prices are from www.dvdpricesearch.com Don't want you guys paying too much >:P
The ovas are really good, and I really like the tv series as well but theres a decent difference in the animation quality, but the story is just as good. If you watch the OVA then the TV series you might think its repeating, basicly they couldn't finish the whole series as OVAs so they made a new ending, if you watch the tv series u basicly want to ignore the last few OVAs.
Semi-Spoilers

What the OVA didn't do was let Parn pass the torch to a new hero and a new group, parn and his group are older and support the new group.

I'll take the digital camera with me next time. =P It was only 13 episodes, so I guess it's the OVA box set.kthulhu wrote:It may be a figment of his mind, though. Nah, I wouldn't doubt MJ has a good Blockbuster 8) .

Quick info here...
Both animes were based on a series of books (also called Record of Lodoss War)
The OAV was based on the books, but not very closely.
The TV Series is much more accurate to the books... but since SOME of the same events were shown in the OAV, they had to redo the scenes despite the fact that the scenes had already happened in the OAV.
Furthermore, since the OAV was made, they tried to start later in the books so that the 2 would mesh slightly...
This information may not be accurate, but it was the explanation I got from my friend who did the subtitles.

There are two kinds of people in this world:
Those who divide people into two kinds of groups
and those who don't.

The reason they didn't cover it in the OVA is because there's another series out that covers that. I saw the box set for it a while ago, but the exact title skips my mind.Nappy wrote:What the OVA didn't do was let Parn pass the torch to a new hero and a new group, parn and his group are older and support the new group.
Everyone is not the same as you.
Get over it.
And lighten up.
