ok...well then...i just think a show about a CARD GAME is a dumb idea, just like a video game or a book or anything else based on a card game. that's like making an action show about poker. and besides, yu gi oh was just the first one i thought of...in case anyone thinks this, im not talking about cardcaptor sakura...i dont think anyone will take it that way, but just in case...jeez, a lot of anime is that bad. just because its anime doesnt mean it's good...i hate that attitude about anything. nothing against the guy with the attitude...but really, anime can be just as bad as any other cartoon, since that's what anime is-a cartoon. the word anime means animation, not japanese animation, over here its just easier to say anime. if you look at really old anime (Astroboy, or mighty atom if you're anal) a lot of it looks like american cartoons...

But the thing one thing I look for in an anime is animation...Dragon Ball Z and Yu-Gi-Oh obviously doesn't have good animtation...
and theres no storyline either! It's about a fucking card game, and a wimpy(I can't even tell what his haircolor is, maybe a blond..since he certainly acts like one) guy name Lugi....(Yes I mispelled it on purpose)
It's just a stupid franchise, it's like pokemon, 200 episodes will go by until the next stupid horribly dubbed anime comes along and turns into an even bigger franchise.

Sorry. Not the same thing. Telling everyone what you like differs from saying how much you hate something.Anime Jedi wrote:Unfortunetely, the same could be said for things you like. What if someone doesn't like something, and you gloat about how great it is. It's just the same thing.The_Digital_Phoenix wrote:You really shouldn't make fun of or come down on what others like. If you dislike something kindly keep it to yourself.
Old saying: To each his own.
Think about it Chef.
And I never said Yu-Gi-Oh was without flaws. It has plenty but I love it anyway. And IMO the animation is good. Not Akira good, but still good.
Oh and anime is short of the Japanese word Animeshon.

I guess that's my loss and my gain, the idea that I don't really think that any anime is that bad. And when I mean bad, I mean it's like torture to watch it.
You see, when I watch a show, I notice, like all people, the positive parts and the imperfections. Some have more, some have less. But instead of focussing on the imperfections, I focus on the parts that enhance the show, and this goes for all of television.
And remember, I said "no anime is really that bad". And I really meant bad, because that's how you were describing a whole bunch of shows. Of course, I dislike a lot of shows (haven't found one that I hate yet
), but it still doesn't mean that I think they're bad. I think I don't enjoy them because, I don't understand them.
Right now I would finish this with a quote, but I forgot it. What timing!
Like really. All I remember is that it had to do about how the only animals that man has deemed intelligent, are the animals that man has finally understood. It's something like that.
And I think that this quote is extremely relevant to what we're talking about. I'll post it when I find it. 8)
proofreads: Wow, don't hate any anime, I must be one positive thinking guy.

for once i agree w/ temjin. i can say whatever the fudge i want and you children can't stop me.../chef. the most importent right we have is fee speech, even though there are a lot of contradictions there. its like a non sequiter comic i read. an editor is at his desk when a single reader of his paper comes in and says Facts shmacts, im offended so stop the presses!temjin wrote:jesus digital is a total asshole. why shouold anyone have to keep the fact that they dont like something to themselves? because it may offend someone if they state that they dont like that certain thing? hell, you've blantantly said that you dont like me, digital. so i think im going to go cry now.
