Sorry, I didn't mean to give the impression that it's bad. Don't get me wrong, Kenshin's an excellent show and I see nothing wrong in how they use names.

Hope for the live-action Eva movie?
They waffle SO MUCH on this that you can't trust any press releases. I was at their panels at Otakon 2003 and AB2004 and asked them about the L.A. Eva status:

O2K3: "We have a script, we won't tell you who wrote it, we're looking at directors"

AB2004: "We have a treatment, we're working on a script"

A 'treatment' is basically a written story, and it's pretty much a basic description of what the movie is about and how the plot advances.

So, I'll believe that a script exists when it leaks onto the internet.

I'm psyched about Gatchaman. Buying that Rhino "Battle Of The Planets" would cost way too much especially for those of us that just want the original series and not one of the many Americanized versions alongside it.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for that, though I maintain that there's no way a live action can live up to the original...and I'm not a particular Eva fan anyway.

I'd really like to see PMK. The style looks a little weird, but I'm curious about it.

SO basiclly all they have is:

Shinji: I'm a loser
Misato: Look at my boobs you loser
Rei: I'm boring
[insert mecha scene]
Genma: My son is a loser
Asuka: Shinji's a loser
BOOM!
End of Eva

Yeah they defiantely need more progress to be made on this movie.

ADV don't need to license the Live Action eva movie.... they are the ones making it!

I know that. They said before that the live-action Eva might have been scrapped, but if they're looking for a director, then maybe there's some hope.

But as dokool pointed out, until there's more concrete evidence, don't keep your fingers crossed.

Oh and every time someone abrieviates Peace Maker Kurogane to PMK, I keep thinking of Powerman 5000, which is abrieviated to PM5K.
