Ah, that might be it. I'll have to go back eventually and watch what I have of the show again.

Frankly, the art quality is a little variable. Parts of Orphen look really good, and parts look bad.

I bought this anime. It wasn't one of the best shows I've ever seen, but it was a pretty good show overall. I'd say if you have alot of money, buy it. If not, I'm not sure if I could say it was worth buying... :?

I hope this helps.

They made a game out of it, which sucked (I know I rented it :P) but yeah me and my buds at my colleges anime club are currently watching the series and I think its pretty good. Now I would buy it cept for the fact that I want to get the entire escaflowne series instead.

Fortunately the show is fairly enjoyable. There are some episodes that really suck (killing doll episodes... horrible story, horrid animation). The funny part about the terrible animation is that the episode right after the killing doll is probably the most "colorful" and well animated episode. (Leki's Small Adventure).

If anyone else is an addict and can part with $48 (from rightstuf) I'd certainly recommend Orphen.

Though others might disagree, I don't even find Cleao all that annoying. Even the munchkins are fairly entertaining. I am almost done with the series at this point, 1 dvd left to watch.

Oh another note: this series is 24 episodes not 26.

Good to hear. I've seen a little of it and thought it was pretty fun, and certainly liked the subtler elements of the humour and what have you.

I didn't find Cleao that annoying either. However I did find the munchkins VERY ANNOYING! I found almost every scene with them highly uneccessary.
