Hehe... not that I know you particularly well or anything, but yeah, I think you'll love FY when you see all of it. Just watch it subbed. I watched it dubbed over the course of two weekends--Miaka's dub voice is like the scraping of nails over a chalkboard. Though I will say, at least it's in character... but I wouldn't wish her voice on my biggest rival for a guy.Moonlight Soldier wrote:I suppose romance wise I'd have to say Miaka and Tamahome....

Romance-wise, I'd have to pick Tohru and Kyo from Fruits Basket (though I wish it was developed even further). I enjoyed the whole love triangle aspect.
But for fun--Anna and Yoh from Shaman King are my heros. They're fiancees for an arranged marriage and they're complete opposites except for the fact that they're both incredibly lazy. Most of the time, Yoh cringes in fear at the thought of Anna's presence... but there are certain times where you can tell that they care about each other for more than purely selfish motivations. More specifically, they trust each other wholeheartedly, and therefore their eventual marriage will not only work, it will probably actually be happy (though in a different sense of the word than we usually use).

I have to agree with that. Definatly one of my Favorite Series.IcyCloud wrote:My vote would be for Yuuichi and Ayu from Kanon. Especially in the end, when everything is revealed about the past. It's nearly impossible to elaborate much without spoilers, but seeing the lengths they both go to in order to reunite is really moving. That's why it's by far one of my favorite series.

Im surprised that no one has posted Keichi and Beldandy. They have my vote, even though the series was short (I would have prefered it to be a lot longer) it still got to me. The series was nicely put together to a point where u can really feel the love for the two. I guess im a sucker for those romance anime series too ... oh well, its nice to have a little bit of everything once in a while ...

they're my pick
maybe because I'm a born-again Belldandy fan

The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

Oh, don't get me wrong. I was telling people to pick one couple only... and while I love the Keichi/Belldandy love story from Oh! My Goddess... and I happen to love love stories... my favorite tale of love is the original El Hazard OAV.Jonathan02us wrote:Im surprised that no one has posted Keichi and Beldandy. There are two kinds of people in this world:
Those who divide people into two kinds of groups
and those who don't.
