Chi, or Ki if you are in Japan, is what powers the whole show. The real question is why the people incharge in the afterlife(the Kai's) have such little power in the DBZ world. King Yama should be virtually indestructable and I say virtually because everything meets its end. The universe is all made of the Dao buch eventually it shall cease to exists and the purest essence of the Dao shall return to a collective state to be made into yet another universe. 8)
