I say that its worth getting. My only recommendation is to get the movie afterwords (Nadesico: The prince of Darkness), it basically fills in the plot holes left after the series ends (well most of them anyways).

Nadesico is one of the first animes I watched that got me into it..
yea ... i noticed she says that a lot ... actualy in the first two episodes Baka encompases about ... 80% of her dialog. But i hear she eventualy learns a few more words and becomes a very sarcastic character ... meh, it's on my wish list.

She's always a sarcastic character. You just don't see it much in the first couple episodes. She's one of my favourite anime characters just because of her attitude.

Nadesico is classic, especially if you're a fan of Macross.

Nay!

It's enjoyable and I can watch it, but not "buying" material IMO. The plot is mediocre IMO and the jokes (after awhile) get old.

I was surprised it was the #1 show in Japan for awhile, but then again, these are the Japanese we're talking about.

But but... The point of the show is to make fun of the silly generic stereotypes in anime fandom. Nothing is sacred, not even itself. Besides, it has Gekiganger in it!

Well again, it's enjoyable, but I wouldn't buy it. I watched it once, thought it was alright and went right along.

Excel Saga also parodies anime and I don't enjoy it that much either.

Maybe parody just isn't your thing. After all, you like ghey anime like VOE.

Besides, another point in Nadesico's favor is that the entire series can be had for 50-60 bucks, which is fairly cheap for the a full 26 episode season. Course the video quality on the R1 DVDs suck, but you get what you pay for.

There will be no Escabloeme comments made here. I'm pretty sure Hsien doesn't read this forum :-P

And hey, I thought you said you liked VOE?
