The dubbing is horrible. Viz showed a preview of the dub at Otakon and I was extremly disappointed. Although I wasn't totally surprised since 97% of all dubs suck. First off, they didnt do a good job choosing the right voices, and even so, I dont think an english voice for IY would work anyway. Miroku, sango, kagome, kikyo.. I can see possible good voices in english for them if done right, but they werent.

Remember kids, stick with subtitles. If they were meant to speak english, they would've made it like that. For the same reason that batman shouldnt speak japanese.... anime should have japanese voices.

Well, then what do you do with a Gene Starwind or Rally Vincent? Talk about your characters who should speak English (especially Rally, she's in Goddamn Chicago for Christ's sake!). But, due to simplicity and budget they speak Japanese originally.

Remember kids, stick with the original mental patterns of the writers. Anything else just fucks it up.

I knew about the Inu Yasha TV airing from a while back. A friend of mine is interning at "Wizard" magazine in New York. She told me I couldn't tell anyone, but now I guess it's safe...

HEY! INU YASHA IS GONNA BE ON TV!!!!!

As if the dub is gonna be any good. Sigh. It's a shame.

I'm really interested in knowing just how they translated the series. What is Kagome going to say when she tells Inuyasha to sit? How about the Shikon no Tama, will that be the Jewel of Souls or something. Youkai and Hanyou will be interesting as well. Personally, I think they'd stay truer to the story if they left those names as is and just put in editor's notes. I guess we just find out in 19 days.

Curious about seeing if we have a brand new butchered opening to deal with. What kind of crappy tecnho music wil they use for this one? Will they leave the original opening, who knows. Being a die hard Inuyasha fan, I find it rather interesting to se if they can change my views on the show with this dub

Though Ranma is one of the only dubs I like, but would his voice really work for Inuyasha...... nope.
