Actually, I found a GREAT fanfic, where Shinji and Rei actually DO get into some foreplay, and of course, Asuka is jealous because she can't get any! It's damn funny, but it also mirrors the styling of the series, and the character's behaviors perfectly. Here's the url if anyone's interested:

Unfortunately, the story is left at a cliffhanger, and there aren't any links to the individual parts, so you have to manually guess. I stumbled on it searching Google for specs on the Eva and Magi, which for some bizarre reason led me there. However, it was worth the read, except for all the detailed, perverted foreplay (okay, now I've done it, and gotten all the horny fanboys headed over there).

On the subject of "Do I like Eva", I find it a really good anime. However, it reminds me too much of "Sailor Moon" at points. I caught a few episodes of Sailor Moon R and S, and I just thought 'Okay, if I were in there shoes, I'd kick that second-in-command's ass, put a tracer on them, making them lead me to their boss, and waste all the fuckers with a LAWS missle launcher, or a Barrett M82A1'.

Same thing with Eva. All Shinji would've had to do in Episode 19 is self-destruct Unit-01, remembering of course to jettison the entry plug just before it blew (Rei couldn't do it in Episode 23 due to the 16th Angel's interference in the entry-plug circuits). Then, get Misato to help him capture Gendo (that nerdy bastard couldn't put up that good of a fight), and drag his ass over to Unit-00, firing it up, forcing him to sych 400% with Ritsuko's mother's soul. If you think about it, that would be the ultimate torture, because he'd be stuck being mentally assaulted by Dr. Akagi's wrath for the rest of eternity (until Instrumentality occurred).

Of course, the whole Instrumentality thing wouldn't have to go down anyway, because Second Impact occurred. Once the Angels were all destroyed (except for the 18th Angel, of course), all the "stuff" (LCL, souls, and whatever makes up Angels) would be redistributed into mankind, allowing them to continue for another few million years. Remember, the Children aren't being born so easily, because the souls and other "stuff" that made up half of the world's population were re-routed back to the more specialized, primitive forms, known as Angels 3-17.

Once they're dead, mankind has all the "stuff" (due to conservation of matter and energy) to thrive again. On the same subject, since the Children are the only ones capable of synchronizing with Eva, which is made from Adam's DNA (which was clearly affected by Second Impact), the Children are really a new sub-species, or a different form (we'll call them the 19th Angel, because there's just enough of a genetic difference with the Children from those born prior to Second Impact).

Therefore, NERV could clearly argue with Seele, point out Second Impact did the trick, get the JSSDF to help kick some ass, and dissolve Project E. Screw the U.N.!

To think, this could all have been done if Misato wasn't such a dumbass and spared Kaji's life, Rei reached an understanding of her emotions, desire to be with Shinji, and desire for self-preservation before the 16th Angel, Asuka was properly disciplined by Misato, and Shinji had a pair. Hell, I bet with the ability for Evas to regenerate limbs based on existing tissue (due to their power supply and Adam's DNA), they could easily have stuck Touji in an entry plug, pushed him to a 400% synch ratio with one of the other Evas, and made him bring back his ego barrier while in the entry-plug to regenerate his limbs!
