Obsessed to watch Hentai? [Zero Tolerance discussion]

Well, I personally do not watch hentai, read, or have anything much to do with hentai. I personally feel it's an insult to Anime. However, I'm not against it's exsistence or the viewing of it in any way mind you. But that's not what you asked. To answer your question I will speak for people I know who do view hentai on a regular or bi-regular baisis. The first person whoms name I will not mention says this and I quote:

" I watch hentai mainly cuz I'm obsessed with the hot babes in Anime and I love to see them naked and having sex."

Crude and simple best describes this opinion, but it's probably the most common. Another person whom I know who voices a different (and thankfully less crude) opinion states this:

" I look at hentai not as a good method of jerking off, but as an art. Hentai is a subdivision of Anime that is directed at the distribution of adult entertainment."

I must say this is an interesting opinion and he is the only person I know who belives this.

Well, I hope this answers your question about why people enjoy hentai.

Um...guys, let's go back to fourth grade. You know that class they told us, about how boys and girls have different parts and... Okay, fast-forward a bit.

Many people, whether netspeaking OMGLOLTEHPr0NIZGOOD types or (gasp!) intelligent people with coherent opinions, are open with their sexuality. They probably watch/read pornographic material because they see it as taking care of a basic human need. Maybe more, maybe less, but the bottom line is... they watch hentai because it gets them off. That's... really all there is to that, too. I didn't think that was very mysterious. It bothers me that you imply that having a sex drive makes you stupid, but I won't get into that can o' worms.

If you find it disgusting/crude/wrong/whatever, that's another argument. But generally, the answer is "Those who like it don't see it that way." For whatever personal reasons they have.

The hell you say! My roommate and I used to compare porn and view each others constantly. I mean for the love of gawd man you don't choke it together, there’s just some things best undone, but who says you have to anyways. Porn is fun for the whole dysfunctional family.

Your frinds are either perverts or their veins are pumping hormones instead of blood. I have a sort of yaoi obsession but I can't buy videos and such because of my living situation and other circumstances. I thought I was obsessed because yaoi is the only thing on my mind almost 24/7. Then I realized I could quit thinking about it when I had something more on my mind- which don't happen often...

I don't think your friends are depraved nymphos or anything. They just don't have anything better to do. If they are butt ugly and can't get laid then the hentai thing will become a problem later in life. Otherwise, just get them involved in some more wholesome activities like prank phone calls or leaving flaming dog poo on people's doorsteps.
