I assume you are talking about the bit about the birdnest? I found that touching.

I think the story has great potential. I even think the artwork when Kikaider shows up is great. Its just the human characters I have trouble with. You have what I feel is fantastic artwork right up til the human characters and suddenly you have people who look like they were lifted from Speed Racer.

I would be willing to overlook the human characters if they were at least interesting.

In case you didnt know the anime is based on a live action show that used to air in Japan for a few years(Think Power rangers or Ultraman before they were Americanized). The live action show was very highly rated and was very popular.

I don't like the way it is drawn either. Does anyone know if the story will get better because if the story is good the way the characters look shouln't matter too much.
