Princess Mononoke surprised me big time. I saw the american dubbed version with Gillian Anderson and Billy Bob Thornton, and I'm not complaining.

cause its not released here.

which is gay,

but the show is good

Princess Mononoke is a very good film... not my favorite Ghibli title... but since I place the Ghili stuff above most anime, that's not too bad.

I thought the dub was passable... but there was plenty of room for improvement.

Minnie Driver was hands down the best actress in the movie...

Still... they were using a bad voice director (who has a great number of sub-standard dubs to his name). Thankfully... Disney got rid of him and went with someone with a much better talent in voice directing when they did the dub for Spirited Away (a vastly superior dub)

True, most of the anime I watch is in Japanese with subtitles... but I certainly can appretiate when a good dub comes along (there are so many bad ones out there)
