On a serious note, as I said earlier, it's really about your belief system. There's not "right or wrong" that anyone here can say. Well I guess there is a right or wrong TO THAT PERSON, but nothing we can say here will be right to you...only your own beliefs and morals. I already stated mine, but it's up to you and your respective religion/belief system.

you christians think of things too objectively and impersonally. "oh if I do this magic ticket god will give me 30 hell points". Think of it in terms of reaching nirvana at the end of your ascention through the states of existance. If you wack off, or propagate your mind with animalistic passions by looking at hentai alot, you're just going to have more coarse matter to shed off when your shell of a body gets left behind. I.E. more time spent in the lower hellish places.
If we're all supposed to get over a materialistic vice during our lifetime this is a good place to start.

i think it's more the creators who will go to hell (or equivalent of your religion's bad place), not really the people who watch it. japan's main religions are buddhism and shintoism so many do not even believe in sins. that's part of the reason why there are so many hentai titles.

but yah i agree that most things like rape and all that stuff is just wrong to be showed, much less animated. i would fully respect any girl i would have sex with....(at least that's what i think now....i'm still a minor so it's kinda odd for me to say so now. 16 yrs old for those curious).

i'm not really sure if it is considered sinful since i do not have any religious beliefs. i'm more of an atheist. but, unlike some others i fully repsect other peoples' beliefs and religion. the only time i'll have beef with them is if they try to convert me or something.

As mentioned, it does depend on religious beliefs. It also depends on your personal moral comfort level. If you have doubts or concerns, or are bothered by what you see, it is probably best to not watch it. Lolicon, for instance, bothers me, and some things I have seen are , to say the least (especially mutilation hentai). Needless to say, I don't seek these out.

But in my conclusion: I don't think (insert deity of your choice) would punish someone for watching hentai. However, good moral judgement (based on your morals) is a good idea.

I've been thinking about how sick alot of hentai is, and I was wondering if there is anything sinful about it. Can people go to hell for making or looking at this stuff? I don't mean to get all whacky, this is just a concern of mine, so take it easy, and try to give me an honest answer.

I'm sure lots of stuff will get you to hell. As for Hentai, I watched a few to aquiint myself with it's nature. I thought a few were humorous, as for the type your thinking off, well...there's a hell for everything.

Well I don't think it's going bad RamonesFan. I think you've brought up an interesting topic and as long as people aren't going to be asses and flame someone for their opinion or worst, state their opinion as the one truth, I think it'll be all good. Don't worry about it. It's not like this is the VCA threads
