Petition for the Berserk video game.

I contacted Sammy or I guess I should say not High Moon Studios, and asked about the games release. Whether they contact me back or not and if they even know anything is a completly other story. I'll post here if they do. Here is their web site http://www.highmoonstudios.com/redirect.html

I was told this :

High Moon Studios has nothing to do with Sammy Anymore, hence their name change. About a year ago, Sammy started a US development branch and called it Sammy Studios. A few months ago they realized the error of their ways and stopped funding it, so the studio branched off and became an unaffiliated development house called High Moon. Asking them to release a Sammy game wouldn't get you too far, expecially when you consider that Sammy isn't even bringing out their game. Capcom picked up the rights to their first game, which is an FPS called Darkwatch.

That is new news to me. I honestly have do not think that game will be released to the USA. I have not received infomation back from high moon on this, but I did contact John from http://www.animenation.net. I am a very big fan of Berserk, and I mean VERY BIG! So, when I heard about
the knew PS2 game that was recently released, i downloaded as many trialers
of it as I could and was searching everywhere everday for any infromation

online petitions, but I guess what could it hurt. Berserk to me is the
greatest series of all time and that is even after watching Neon Genesis
Evangelion, Lain, Akria, and Vampire Hunter D Blood lust, which I thought
also were good, just not as magnificent as Berserk.

So, any information on the release of the game to the USA would be greatly
appreciated. THANK YOU!!!!

Thanks for the link to the petition. You're right that online petitions
usually aren't very influential or successful, but they can't hurt. I'm
sorry to say that I haven't heard any rumors about a possible American
release for the Playstation 2 Berserk game. I'm afraid that if the game
hasn't been released in America by now, it may never be.

The Dreamcast Berserk game was released in America but was not successful.
Since that game wasn't a bit hit, American distributors may be hesitant to
try releasing a second Berserk game in America, fearing that the second game
would also not sell well.

There are many Berserk fans in America, but unfortunately, a number that is
considered big in the anime industry is consider small in the video game
industry. If a video game distributor can only depend on American Berserk
fans to buy the PS2 game, unfortunately that number of sales probably isn't
enough to make an American PS2 release profitable. For instance, an American
anime DVD may sell 20,000 copies and be considered a big success. An
American PS2 game may sell 20,000 copies and not even earn back its
licensing, localization, production and distribution costs.

But seriosly, just get a mod chip for your ps2. Find some shady tech guy, or buy the mod chip and install it yourself. If your not too confident with a solder, you can get a solderless mod chip here
