You may want to ask on forums like Megatokyo and Deviantart, they'd be able to offer more solid advice than here.

The question is, why did you accept a commission when you don't know how to do it? That's just bad form.

I'll give you links to webcomics I consider good, though as dokool said this isn't the best place. Can't give you scans of manga, it'd probably be looked at the same way as fansubs (plus I don't really know where to find them).

You can walk into any major bookstore chain and find a manga and/or comic book section. Even most small bookstores carry a few of either. Or you could go to an actual full-fledged comic book store. Or you can even open a newspaper and look at their comic strip section. Your local library is also a good resource. Comic art is somewhere around the 735 section.

You could also try some of those 'how to draw manga' books they tend to sell in comic stores and other retailers stocking manga. I don't know if they work, but it's probably not a bad way if you need to quickly figure out what to do and how
The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…
