I like it myself

Try Last Exile, the Digimation, as Gonzo calls it, adds to the quality of animation, especially the clouds when they're flying in the Vanships

Also check out Sentou Yousei Yukikaze or Vandread, ther're really good
"I've spent the last ten years of my life defending my country, I've sacrificed for it, fought for it, and bled for it, now it's time I got something back, so please just respect me and my fellow Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, and Marines as we continue to do this job."
Americans sleep peacefully in their beds at night because brave men stand willing to do violence on their behalf

The new Appleseed looks like it has a lot of 3d effects and animation in it.

Actually, graphically, I don't think there's anything except 3d animation in it
The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

Does anybody else feel this way?

Acually, Zoids Chaitoic Century and Guardian force didn't have any 3D Graphics.
But, New Centry Zero had a tidbit.
But then Fuzors came out and riuned everything.

Oh of course. Chaotic Century was awesome in all aspects. I'm talking about Fuzors and New Century.

I'm absolutely alergic to highly visible 3D like in Last Exile or Macross Zero, but Macross is Macross, you gotta love it :P .
