Opinions on Puppetmaster Sakon

Post by angelx03 » Wed Apr 14, 2004 8:32 am

I found out that the RIT Anime Club is going to show the first four episodes of this series this Thursday. I read a few reviews from some websites especially one from the Anime News Network and found out that this series is cliched and predictable. Can anyone who have seen it give their input to this series?

Well, it's a detective show. I haven't seen any detective shows other than Detective Conan and Kindaichi, but it didn't seem very cliched to me. Except where the most obvious suspect isn't the suspect. Or maybe it's cliched for a puppet show? I haven't seen many of those either.

I watched the first two story arcs (I think that's like 6 or 7 eps, I forget). I liked what I saw, but perhaps it gets boring later on? I dunno.

Well, now I've seen the first arc and the first episode of the second arc. I liked how Sakon uses his logic and reasoning in order to solve the mystery. My only gripe is the supporting cast that's involved in the mystery is so cliche and very uninteresting. That goes the same with the setting. Does it always have to be haunted and have people trapped and killed? :?
