Judeau? No way, he's my favorite too! He was awsome, sort of the 'stand back and take it as it comes character.' And his end was so tragic, as was Pippin's (the big guy you mentioned, dogger) Pippin was really good too, quite sad...

Maybe I like the ending the best... because it's the best.. not because it's so sad. I don't think they just threw it together by any means (not only did it happen that way in the manga but) the series had been leading up to that the whole time. It was the essential climax, even though the ending leaves you with a hell of questions. I actually know a lot of people that love the ending. It's so berserk, so powerful.

Hey, at least it left a huge impression. The series were made for one sole purpose....to popularize the manga. And that's even what the makers said 'bout it. I also heard that untill the manga is finished there will not be any new stuff. Violence, Nudity & Gore after the eclipse even make new eps. further away from screenings
