about that no dbz rule, it's not too well thought out, a lot of characters of other anime fight the way they do in dbz... for not for such long periods of time, and it's not like there's much talking in Super Smash Bros, so why complain about the long speeches (btw, i know that was a joke... hopeufully it was, thought it has validity) heck, even Himura from Rurouni Kenshin uses 'god-like' speed, so who's to say HE wouldn't be a cheap character?
but i guess ur main and i might add very
legitimate argument is that dbz already has fighting games under it's belt, true, but that doesn't mean they're any good, only the newest ones are half-way decent, Budokai part 1 being the only one i like so far overall
if nothing else, Lunch and Krillin from Dragonball

heh heh (kururin for the anal-retentive)
Hannya from Rurouni Kenshin, awesome fighting style
the psycho blond chick from love hina that always punches that one guy... as you can tell, i have NOT watched Love Hina... [smaks self]
...what about summons, in Super Smash Bros. they used Poke-balls, can't there be some sort of equivalent, that when activated, we get to temporarily use one of the mega powers of the enormously powerful characters in anime
Summon Suggestions:
Akira from Akira to do his little vortex explosion tech.
Kamui from X to protect you with his giant glowing bubble
Haruko from FLCL to shoot the **** outta every1 on screen wit her bass
Vegeta from DBZ to basically kill himself, he does a lot of damage and everyone is happy cause he dies (gift to the dbz-haters AND dbz-lovers)
Speed from Speed Racer to drive across screen hit-and-running pplz
dat's all for now, i'm sure ur ready to read next post from whoever, enjoy
