There are lots of words for I... Watashi (Neutral), Boku (Masculine)... Atashi (Feminin) And those are just the basics that I know. o.O;

as much as I would love to learn Japanese....I dont have the (what my school sounsler and other staff at my school said) "The mental capacity to learn a foreign language". So anyways, English is good enough for me.

Well, from my experience, those are none of them direct equivalents. The old 'this one' meaning was the one that I had heard was closest for those...

I don't know for sure, I've never been to Japan nor have I ever been fluent in Japanese, but I've been learning for years, and I've been taught by a handful of Japanese natives (some with not so good english, some with near perfect english) and while some have advocated the use of boku for males and watashi for females, none has ever implied that it was anything but correct to use watashi if you are a male.

I was talking once in a Japanese chat room, and all these girls were like, hey, you're a girl, right? and I'm like, no, I'm a guy. and they're like, use Orewa or Bokuwa, cuz you're confusing the hell out of us!"

Damn. I was really dumb.

Hearing that anime wasn't real was like hearing that there was no Santa Claus. I was heart broken. :roll: The one funny thing about it, though, is that his command of the English language is loose at best. In context, he said
It's Too Hard

This should be an obvious
Apparently Japanese isn't the only hard language for him...

Furthermore, the only reason I want to learn Japanese is because it would be a challenge. Duh.
