there is a cable network called locomotion (www.locomotion.com) approximatly half their programming is anime. although the physical location of the headquarters is locomotion channel, 420 lincoln rd. #235,
miami beach, fl 33139 usa, the network provides service throughout central and south america, a fairly large market.
if you check the programming schedule you will see it is not bad, but it could use some tweaking to bring it up to speed. it would be nice if i could be the guy to do this, but it might be better if someone else did it. for starters, could someone email the top 100 anime page from www.animenfo.com (www.animenfo.com/statistic/top100.php?1=anime) to the network at megusta@locomotion.com and info@locomotion.com.
i would also like to ask if someone could inform me of the fee licensing corporations typically charge broadcasters to air anime episodes, i have heard this can vary significantly from one country to another.
i would also like to ask if someone could inform me of the cost of subtitling a 24 minute episode and the cost of live voice actors dubbing a 24 minute episode.
locomotion also broadcasts 30 second clips of amature animation and live action clips. if producing these is your thing you may want to contact the station in regard to the process to submit a clip.

Re: locomotion anime cable channel
Subtitling a single episode should be extremely cheap. I mean hell, fansubbers do it for free. A person doing actual paid work ought to be able to sub an episode in a single day, maybe about 9 hours of work? If he gets paid like 15 bucks an hour or so, then it would run maybe about $135 per episode. Although I'm thinking that it actually costs far more than that for some reason...xxxxx wrote: i would also like to ask if someone could inform me of the cost of subtitling a 24 minute episode and the cost of live voice actors dubbing a 24 minute episode.
As far as dubbing, I'm sure this costs quite a bit, though I really have no idea. I might make an estimate of about $3000 per episode.
