The fight is not technically more realistic OR less ridiculous. It's just cut down and butchered.
I like bugging people. Deal with it.

I thought Sano wasn't that good in the second OVA when it was during the flashback. H ewasn't his loud-mouth gambling guy he always was. However he was only in ir for like 20 minutes total for the first episode. However I thought Sano grown up was awesome.

I thought it was crap. And not just because the fights were lame. The rest of the story was, too.
No you're not the only one. I'm with you and so is the original creator.

i thought it was awesome thats why I liked reflections.

I guess you have to take what you get. That's rpoably the only time you'll get to see Enishi and Kenshin fight on t.v.
Wow you really want me to name why? This could take awhile, but I'll try to be brief.

1) It's not part of the manga and not part of the story. All they did was ruin the original ending by confusing viewers into thinking this "tragic" ending was part of the story. And they only did that to make it sad.

2) It has nothing to do with the theme that is throughout kenshin. That being life and it being worth living and protecting. Keyword...LIVING.

3) Why the fuck would Kenshin go back to war? I might also add that this is a war (in history) that has NOTHING to do with protecting Japan (which I could remotely imagine him doing). This is a conquest war and it makes no sense to the character of Kenshin that he would help Japan in this. Totally destroys all the development that is Kenshin. I don't even consider this OVA as "Kenshin." This is one I *would* call Samurai X since it has nothing to do with Kenshin and it's an entirely different character in my eyes.

Oh yeah and did I mention it's not part of the manga? The creator of the show doesn't acknowledge this OVA as having anything to do with his character or manga. He ended it on Manga #28 and that's it. I accept that as the end and not this garbage that they made to continue it and make more $$$. Look at the credits, other then "original created by", do you see the creators name on any of the other credits? Nope. Why? Because Sony had the rights and made it without his permission.

Call me a purist, but do yourself a favor and buy (it's coming out soon) the manga and read the true ending. You'll see what really happens and be happy :). I'd rather accept what the creator of the show/manga says as the truth then some random Sony Executive who wants money and uses your heart (i.e tragic ending) to get it.

I didnt look at it techincally then it ruins the entire movie. LI watched it to in enjoy it and being a diehard kenshin fan I bought it and liked it.

I dont want to ruin it by saying kenshin wouldnt go to war or whatever you said.

I looked at it its my favorite anime and talking about what happens after the story and during the story. I wanted to see what happened that wasnt in the anime such as Kenshin vs Enishi.

Plus you get to see Kenji who by far is one of the coolest characters i think.

But I like Trust and Betryal alot more. How lot more.

Yeah your'e right, the movie *isn't* part of the timeline. But at least it didnt' ruin what the character is about and the theme of the show.

Then perhaps you should watch the show again. The entire fundamental theme of the show is life and the protection of it. Why would a character who is based upon if not BORN from this theme go to a war that is about conquest and killing innocent chinese? That makes no sense and shows that this has nothing from the creator and thus the departure from the theme.

Then why don't you just read the manga. All of the Enishi stuff is in there and not only 5 minutes long. In fact, it was 10 manga volumes which is around the same length of the Kyoto arc (although not as good IMO).

As for Kenji, yeah I love how they make all these assumptions about how this child would act based on the 10 or so manga panels we have of him while he is 1 years old. Wow! Must mean Sony knows more about the show then the creator...

Regardless,

Reflection > Kenshin TV season 3

I thought it was meh, but mostly agree with D Dubya. Although I think I tolerated it a bit more than he did.

Wow what's up with this thread? It says someone updated and yet..nothing. That's twice it's mucked up.

Must mean the OVA *really* sucks for it to be cursed like this j/k :P

OK based on my previous post, I didn't see this post and thus updated in hopes of seeing it :)

In any case, yeah I wholeheartedly agree with your comparison.

Then again, just about anything I can name is better then the 3rd season of Kenshin. That was absolute ass. Then again, the same argument holds for it as Reflections. It wasn't part of the manga and just Sony making up random episodes. I mean seriously. Do you think the creator came up with the armpit people? German Knights? :P

Go read the "Blade of the Immortal" Manga if you need your Kenshin-esque fix. It's great :).
