Eva renewal box set question.

Ok, now i know that there are no current plans to release the renewal in North America, but if they were to do it, do you think they'd do the english dub with a new cast and actualy do a good job as oppsoed to the god awful one in the original?

Most likely not. After all, when Manga licenced the movies, they were re-dubbed with most of the original English cast...

Aww...crap. I'm betting the farm that I'd have to pay twice the normal amount to get a hold of one now. Are they all sold out or something? Please say no...

yea but EoE was released a year after the tv series, or was it two. i don't remember if eve came out in 95 or 96, but Eoe was released in 97. They might have to redo the whole thing any ways. If they just were to do the dub for the cut scenes it might sound off if any of the voice actors voices changed. I don't know much about the VA's, i don't do any kind of research into them. But a new dub would be very nice.

And no, i don't think their sold out. ask Absolute destiny about them ... he has one. But i think they're like $600 for the box set ... so $1200 is quite a steep price for a boxest ... though i'd probalby do the same.

I know the american voice of Gendo would have no objections. Seems Manga had to damn near beg him to come back. He likes to produce and didn't want to do any more acting.

Or, you can buy the R2 Renewal DVDs individually. Granted, it's not as sweet as the actual box set, but it would only come to about $300 for the TV episodes and movies.

I found the box set for less than 400 bux on cdjapan, unfortunatly they are sold out at the moment. But they do have all the renewed DVDs for sale individually.
