It pays to bitch....

For those of you that have been following the on going saga of Mr. Pilkington vs. the big bad Mediaplay corporation you know that I have had the DVD "reserved" for well over 2 months now. You also know I decked some dickhead for bsing me on. What you didn't know is last Thursday I went into the store once again for the first time in weeks. I demanded satisfaction and was given nothing but the cold hard facts.
1. Two other people ordered the disc and only 2 copy rived
2. The other person was quite the avid anime fan; he drops more money per month there than even I do. Quite the feat needless to say.
3. The fool that had been giving me the run around for well over a month and a half before I clocked him actually was the 3rd person to "preorder" said disc. Not 24 hours before its official release. He got one.... I didn't.

The truth arose!! And quoth management "well then, good. He got what he had coming." But still no FLCL, this angers me immensely. So I called their Home-office and do a three-way with them and the Store manager. Results! They said they were going to check every store, every warehouse, every thing and get back to me within 24 hour. This was later that Thursday. Monday, still no call. Last straw. In come the Regional Prez and the district manager. Now I get satiable results. This was yesterday I left the message. I get a phone call 12:54pm Tuesday afternoon (this afternoon). I explain, in detail, the situation at hand and she agrees totally with my anger disposition. Now mind you I didn’t yell I didn’t curse I did everything as a complete gentlemen. By 7PM I already had a message saying that they found on at a “Suncoast local. Uber results!! It was “ the Last Copy in the Southeast.” That means that in all the Suncoast, Samgoody, Mediaplay, and any other franchise they own in the southeast there are no more FLCL3’s in box. How awesome is that. I’m speaking out more often! So now I should, NO will have it in my hands by tomorrow evening.

I punched him square in the eye! Then walked away passively. The funny part is as load as it was (or seemed to me since i was sure I was goign to get in shit) no one seemed to notice. Or atleast care.
It will be interesting to see if he still has a job when I go in to pick up said DVD this afternoon.
